Approach the stakeholders/Charity group

I approached the charity group by email to see if I am able to talk with some of their expert.

My Email:

Dear sir/madam:

My name is Xunyao Liu, a current student of Applied Imagination in the Creative Industry in Central Saint Martin.

I would like to discuss on how alcohol and drug abuse issues happened in homelessness group, with some of your experts online or offline.

Currently, I am doing a research project on homelessness people in Islington, London.Homelessness problem in the UK really intrigued me and I have great passion to look into this social issue.

I am really looking forward to hear from you!

Yours faithfully

Xunyao Liu

Few weeks after I sent these emails, David Mills mentioned in his tutorials that do not getting feedback might relate to the nature or style of your communication. And don’t introduce yourself with “I am a student…”, and do get to the point quickly.

I had all these problems. Next time I will refer myself as MA researcher instead of students. And Also, I will request with mild, understandable, but direct questions to my stakeholders in their concern.
